Ley-Anne is a Death Doula with over 13 years experience as a Registered Craniosacral Therapist and Reflexologist with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association, is a certified AFLCA Group Leader and graduated from Lakeland College with an Animal Health Technology Diploma. She has also completed multiple animal assisted therapy courses including the Upledger Institute’s BADA (BioAquatics – Advanced Craniosacral Therapy and Dolphin Exploration), bringing interspecies craniosacral therapy sessions to her family’s homestead. Ley-Anne and Amigo, the dog, were a certified pet therapy team until his passing this past April. In 2018 she received the Emerging Storyteller Scholarship from Storytelling Alberta. Beagle Love (Marla Patrick)
Marla Patrick is the owner of Smoky Valley Dog Center. She alternates living between her home on a farm near Lindsborg, Kansas, and her island home on Caye Caulker Belize. In Marla’s spare time, she grooms for island dogs in need at no cost; is an ambassador for the Beagle Freedom Project; collects supplies for the Caye Caulker Humane Society; and school supplies for the island’s school children. She recently started collecting eyeglasses and hearing aids for the elderly of Caye Caulker. She lives with her husband, Jeff, and they share three children, five grandchildren, three dogs, and two granddogs.
