Episode 718 with guest Jodie Pappas
Jodie hit the first turning point in her life in her twenties when she was struggling with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) that caused infertility. She turned to natural health and food to help her clean up her life, overcome PCOS and is eternally grateful for the birth of not one, but three daughters (a singleton and later twins).
Jodie’s twin daughters’ birth threw her family another curve ball.
Grateful for having finally conceived despite her PCOS, now came the discovery of a rare genetic condition that required reconstructive skull surgery through Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital, for one of her twins. Through these medical struggles, Jodie always sought for a natural solution and made it her passion to help others be healthy, naturally, too.
Jodie is a Clean Beauty & Family Natural Health Expert and is a published Author of Your Family Health Organizer (2007, Robert Rose Publishing Inc.). She has been a featured guest on City TV’s Breakfast Television, Global TV Morning, CTV, CHCH, Rogers TV, and countless radio shows in many cities across North America. Following her passion for clean beauty, Jodie became a Certified Plant-based Skincare Formulator in 2014 to start her own skincare brand, Clean Kiss. Jodie is also a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT200 and a Certified Nutrition Aesthetics Practitioner (CNAP).
Jodie’s second turning point was in 2019 when she woke up to the reality that she had taken the “wellness diet” too far. Her quest to be healthy turned into an unhealthy balance and yoyo effects of dieting, excessive exercise, and trying to control the “uncontrollable”. Jodie found a way to change her mindset from one of body shame into one of radical acceptance for the pro- aging journey. “You can’t hate yourself into creating a body you will love”, is her favourite re-quote now!
Jodie advocates that true health and pro-aging acceptance is about what you put ON your body as well as IN your body! All women deserve to feel gorgeous in their skin, especially as they age and find their true self.

I had the pleasure of meeting Candace through a mutual friend. We instantly connected while talking about the mission I am on about healthy aging for women, called pro-aging beauty, which would become the basis for a four-part podcast series we did together on The Divas that Care Network. I am so grateful to Candace for giving me the forum to help women to embrace the aging process through clean skincare, nutrition and most importantly a positive mindset that celebrates their bodies in midlife. Candace is a pleasure to work with and to be hosted by. Thank you to Candace and the Divas!
