Christy Alia is a seasoned pizzaiola and champion of aspiring pizzaiolas everywhere. Her earliest memories are alongside her Sicilian-born grandfather, Angelo, kneading pizza and bread dough. Under his guidance, Christy learned the art of handling dough precisely, and Angelo instilled in her a deep appreciation for unwavering standards.
In 2020, Christy created the @RealCleverFood Instagram account to share insights, inspire others, and showcase her dough artistry. In March 2021, she founded the #WomensPizzaMonth campaign, a global celebration that invites the Instagram community to create and dedicate pizzas to inspiring women. Using #WomensPizzaMonth, the movement
spotlights women pizza makers and their contributions. In its first few years, the campaign successfully united pizza enthusiasts worldwide, promoting cultural inclusiveness, empowering women, and highlighting women’s significant role in the pizza industry.
Christy extends her passion for pizza beyond the digital landscape. Through an interactive podcast and club events, she imparts her knowledge to home pizza makers, aiding them in refining their skills. Christy also teaches private pizza and sourdough bread classes, serves as a pizza consultant and recipe developer and contributes to charitable endeavors in her community. Christy participates in fundraising pizza pop-ups and pizza communities like Slice Out Hunger, where she is an advisory board member and Pizza Club. She is also an Ooni Ambassador.

She is an advocate for mentorship and strong, supportive networks. Her four daughters and wonderful husband have inspired her to create a better world, thus the Divas That Care Network was born. Candace enjoys connecting with goal-oriented women and a commitment to make a difference. She believes in the power of women converging to implement change and has ensured that the purpose of Divas That Care movement quantifies just that.
